William A. Hazel, Inc., a total site development contractor for over 60 years, is looking for a Heavy Equipment Mechanic. This position reports to and is under the direction of the Field Service Manager. William A. Essential Functions

• Must have experience with Hydraulics, Diesel Engines, Transmissions, Air Systems and Electrical Systems. 
• Must be able to troubleshoot and repair equipment in a timely manner. 
• Must be able to work with little supervision. 
• Must be able to maintain documentation of work performed in a thorough and timely manner 
• Must be able to perform tasks in a safe manner 

Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential task efficiently and satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.  Must have 1 to 3 years of experience or the combination of experience and/or training. Must have a working mechanical knowledge of hand tools, power tools and measuring devices. Experience with hydraulic pumps, cylinders, valves and hoses. Should have the ability to identify and order the correct repair parts through the parts department. A strong knowledge of diagnostic and repair techniques. Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail. The ability to understand and carry out detailed written and oral instructions. Computer skills are a plus. Must have your own tools and a valid drivers license. Must conform with and abide by all company policies, work procedures and instructions. 

Physical Demands & Work Environment

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the functions of this job.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in outside weather conditions and is regularly exposed to fumes or air born particles, extreme cold, extreme heat, and vibration. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and in high precarious places and is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
