William A. Hazel, Inc. is currently working on the Braddock Road Widening Improvements project for Virginia Residential Construction, LLC., in order to complete road and utility infrastructure per VDOT standards for the Loudoun County DTCI.
The project is comprised of 50,000 CY of earthwork, 3,500 LF of wet utilities, 7,000 LF of concrete curb, 4,700 LF of concrete curb and gutter, 9,000 TN of stone, 10,000 TN of asphalt paving, and 26,000 SY of flexible pavement planing. The challenges that exist on this project are working around existing utilities and dealing with rock encountered during excavation.
