This is one of the construction office jobs we are now hiring for, responsible for leading and overseeing a project management team responsible for a variety of large and occasionally small-scale construction projects. This leadership role is critical in ensuring project success, meeting financial and operational goals, and fostering strong client relationships. 

Essential Functions 

• Provide guidance and oversight to project managers and job/crew superintendents through frequent site visits. 

• Assist with resolving conflicts involving customers, subcontractors, and municipal authorities. 

• Collaborate on implementation and interpretation of company safety programs. 

• Monitor productivity, budget, and scheduling performance to meet company and client expectations. 

• Lead regular meetings with project teams and executive management to align progress and resolve challenges. 

• Develop succession plans and identify internal or external candidates for key team roles. 

• Maintain positive client relationships through consistent communication and professionalism. 

• Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with contract scope, design, budget, and timeline. 

Requirements 

  Minimum 15 years of experience in construction project management or a similar leadership role. 

  Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. 

  Proven ability to manage project budgets, schedules, and personnel. 

  Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. 

  Skilled in conflict resolution and customer engagement. 

  Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software. 

  Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.

The individual in this position will be responsible for the administration of all assigned contracts from execution to completion.  

Essential Functions:

• Coordinate and supervise multiple residential, commercial or infrastructure site work projects. 
• Interface with all parties involved to oversee and ensure project completion on time and within budget.  
• Maintain project budgets, cost estimates, schedules, and resource allocations. 
• Provide document control, plan analysis, project progress, resource scheduling, and fiscal reporting. 
• Provide project management team with guidance for contract and project specifications. 
• Collaborate with engineers, clients, vendors and field operations on value engineering, change management, schedule maintenance and project close out. 
• Selection of subcontractors and material suppliers.  
• Reports to Construction Manager. 

Requirements:

• Excellent technical skills understanding and interpreting construction documents, specifications, contracts, and plans.  
• Great communication and client service skills. 
• Team collaboration skills. 
• Critical thinking skills to identify and overcome project challenges. 
• 4-year degree in Engineering, Business Management, Construction Management, Project Management or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
• 3-5 years’ experience in Project/Construction Management or Assistant Project/Construction Management or related field. 
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills. 
• Efficient time management skills. 
• Strong focus on safety.

William A. Hazel, Inc., a total site development contractor for over 60 years, is looking for a Safety Officer to join our team as one of the construction office jobs we are currently hiring for.

The individual in this position will be responsible for ensuring that all construction activities are conducted in compliance with safety regulations and company policies. This role involves regular site inspections, training staff, and implementing safety programs to minimize risks and enhance the safety culture within the organization. 

Essential Functions: 

• Implement, and enforce safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. 
• Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in construction safety. 
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of construction sites to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards – replenish first aid kits and safety equipment. 
• Investigate and prepare detailed reports and reports to Safety Vice President all accidents, incidents, and near misses, damage claims, criminal activities and personnel problems of immediate attention. 
• Review and investigate all safety complaints. 
• Provide safety training and education to employees, including new hire orientation, toolbox talks, and specialized safety training. 
• Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to develop site-specific safety plans and ensure their implementation. 
• Maintain and update safety records, including incident reports, training logs, and safety inspection checklists. 
• Maintain an organized file system for all accidents and injuries. 
• Promote a positive safety culture and encourage proactive safety measures among all employees. 
• Coordinate with external agencies, such as OSHA, during inspections and audits. 
• Assist with Ms. Utilities that need to be called and located for field personnel. 
• Perform other duties as assigned. 

Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, Construction Management, or a related field preferred. 
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in construction safety or a similar role  
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST), or similar certification preferred. 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
• Understanding of machine guidance equipment & software. 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and strong computation skills. 
• Ability to navigate and inspect all areas of construction sites in all types of weather conditions. 
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. 
• Extended periods of standing, walking, and climbing ladders.
