Steam Truck Driver / Equipment Cleaning Technician
William A. Hazel, Inc., a total site development contractor for over 60 years, is seeking a Steam Truck
Driver / Equipment Cleaning Technician to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Equipment and
Building Facilities, this hands-on position is responsible for cleaning, maintaining, and supporting the
company’s fleet of construction equipment and vehicles in both field and shop environments to ensure
they are safe, reliable, and ready for operation.
Employment Type: Full-Time
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate and transport a steam cleaning truck to company facilities and project sites.
- Steam clean, pressure wash, and degrease heavy equipment, trucks, trailers, tools, and support
machinery. - Remove dirt, mud, grease, asphalt residue, and other contaminants from equipment surfaces.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance of steam cleaning equipment, hoses, pumps,
and water systems. - Coordinate with field supervisors and shop personnel to schedule equipment cleaning activities.
- Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, equipment service needs, and supply inventories.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety policies, environmental regulations, and operating
procedures. - Properly handle and dispose of wastewater, debris, and cleaning materials in accordance with
company standards. - Assist with yard organization, equipment preparation, and other shop duties as needed.
- Travel to active construction sites and work in varying weather conditions.
Qualifications
- Experience operating commercial trucks, service vehicles, or construction equipment.
- Experience with pressure washing, steam cleaning, industrial cleaning, or heavy equipment
maintenance preferred. - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining equipment appearance and reliability.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work.
- Willingness to travel between company facilities and project sites.
- Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus.

- Understanding of heavy equipment and construction industry operations.
- Ability to identify maintenance concerns while cleaning equipment.
- Strong safety awareness and commitment to safe work practices.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize daily assignments.
