William A. Hazel, Inc. is proud to announce that we were selected by the Metro Washington and Virginia Chapters of Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) as the 2024 Sitework Subcontractor of the Year.  

Each year, ABC sends out a ballot to their Virginia and Metro Washington general contractors, who then vote for the best subcontractor of the year for each trade. William A. Hazel won the award for best subcontractor in the Excellence in Construction category.  

Our team was recognized at ABC’s Excellence in Construction Awards Dinner along with other best in class companies representing the best of construction in the greater DC area in September. We are honored to have received this award, which furthers the William A. Hazel Legacy of Quality and Excellence. 

Paul Atherton of William A. Hazel, Inc. was honored with the Outstanding Superintendent Award at the Fairfax County Land Conservation Awards Program, for his efforts at The Thompson Property jobsite in Great Falls.

The Superintendent Award recognizes the outstanding efforts made by a Project Superintendent, in responsible land disturbance techniques and practices to protect the properties and natural resources of Fairfax County. This is Paul’s second time receiving this specific award. He previously won for his work at the Ambrose Hills jobsite in Bailey’s Crossroads. We congratulate Paul on a job well done!
