Dulles Landing Shopping Center

Dulles Landing Shopping Center is one of William A. Hazel’s site development projects, which was completed in 2015. This project, totaling 700,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space, is located off Loudoun County Parkway and Route 50 in Dulles, Virginia. This phase 1 portion of the project was developed by The Beatty Companies and has additional sections to be developed in the future.

William A. Hazel, Inc. completed site work construction for Ambrose Hills in 2018. The 77-townhome community is located on 11.69 acres on Columbia Pike, between Powell Lane and the Madison Place community. This neighborhood in Fairfax County is less than 8 miles west of downtown Washington and overlooks the busy commercial Columbia Pike corridor and is close to Arlington and Alexandria.

Stone Ridge is one of William A. Hazel’s site development construction projects, which was completed in 2004. The residential and commercial development is located in Loudoun County, near Route 50 and Gum Spring Road. The community consists of more than 2,600 residential homes and 2.9 million square feet of commercial, retail, and office space, and several recreation amenities.

William A. Hazel, Inc. completed site work construction on Russell Branch Parkway in 2017. This work was contracted with Loudoun County Department of Transportation & Capital Infrastructure to enhance county interconnectivity.

Russell Branch Parkway is an urban four-lane divided roadway that parallels Route 7 and provides overflow relief for traffic congestion. The sitework development was extensive and required coordination and integration of several neighboring projects. Due to the topography and floodplains, alternative means of stormwater management were incorporated into the overall road design.

Liberty at Laurel Hill is one of William A. Hazel’s site development projects, which was completed in 2021. Located just outside of Washington D.C. in Fairfax County, William A. Hazel, Inc. worked with the developer to transform the historic Lorton Prison into a community of residences, workplaces, shopping, and green space. The 80-acre master planned community won several awards for the innovative adaptive reuse development.

William A. Hazel, Inc. completed site work construction for Willowsford in 2018. This is a 4000-acre community located in four villages just 35 miles outside of Washington D.C. It is a unique community that dedicated half of its acreage to nature conservancy and collective farming.  Willowsford’s vision is centered around “inspired living” and includes “an appreciation for the environment and land stewardship”. The amenities are spread out among the villages and each village has a portion of its acreage allocated to Willowsford Farm, the community’s collective farm.

Westmoore at Moorefield is one of William A. Hazel’s site development projects, which was completed in Ashburn, Virginia in 2019. Westmoore is a 67-acre project that is part of the Moorefield Conservancy controlled by the Claude Moore Charitable Foundation. A large regional stormwater management pond was constructed as the centerpiece of the development. Other amenities for this 599-unit luxury townhouse community include biking and walking trails throughout the development, parks, and bus routes, all within one half mile of the future Ashburn Metro Station.

William A. Hazel, Inc. completed site work construction at Waxpool Elementary School in Ashburn, Virginia in 2019. Waxpool Elementary School is located near the intersection of Waxpool Road and Belmont Ridge Road. The elementary school includes classrooms, a media center, cafeteria, multipurpose room, and two unlighted outdoor physical education fields. The project was built for Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) with improvements for Loudoun Water, including upgrades to existing Waxpool Road.

Village at Manassas Park is a public-private partnership project with the City of Manassas Park to redevelop downtown Manassas Park into a mixed use community, including a new City Hall, Public Library and 300 residential units.

William A. Hazel, Inc. is performing the site work for Balfour Beatty US on this project to install all new utility and road infrastructure.

The Compass True North Data Center site work was constructed for Hensel Phelps in Loudoun County, VA. This project’s first phase of sitework spanned 25 acres and included blasting in excess of 80,000 cy of rock, earthwork totaling 360,000 cy, installation of over 21,000 lf of sanitary, storm and water, and associated roadways and infrastructure for six buildings totaling 258,000 sf.
