In today’s site development world, ignoring stormwater management is not an option. Stormwater causes environmental issues, flooding, erosion, and water pollution. There is a large variety of engineered filtration, detention, and retention systems depending on each site’s needs, local water tables, and soil drainage. These differing systems have become more commonplace on the projects performed in this area and the need for these systems will continue to grow. At William A. Hazel, Inc. we have the ability to install a wide variety of these filters and systems from all the leading manufacturers including bio pond filters, precast cartridge style filters, detention/retention manifold pipe systems, precast, and plastic chamber systems.
Soil conditioning can save time and money on your construction projects, but it’s not a process that’s always utilized to its full advantage. At William A. Hazel, Inc. we are always looking for new ways to streamline projects and provide added value to our customers. Our soil conditioning processes were developed as a value engineering technique and now we put them to work for our clients. Instead of undercutting, hauling, and importing premium soil, we mix lime or cement with wet and/or unstable soils to stabilize them and chemically improve the physical characteristics of the soil. This keeps earthwork and roadbuilding operations moving at a steady pace and saves our clients time and money.
