This position reports to and is under the direction of the dispatcher. William A. Hazel, Inc.,\u00a0operates\u00a0all over the Northern Virginia Area, including some areas in West Virginia.\u00a0<strong><em>Este puesto requiere un permiso de conducir comercial de clase B en vigor.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>**Must have 3 years of trucking experience with at least 2 years of driving a dump\u00a0truck.**<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Qualification to drive, under both the DOT regulations and in the opinion of the company.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Inspect truck equipment and supplies, such as tires, lights, brakes, fuel,\u00a0oil\u00a0and water.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Start engine, shift gears, press pedals and turn steering to\u00a0operate\u00a0truck.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Drive standard transmission\u00a0trucks\u00a0to various job sites to load and offload materials.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Move levers to raise and lower bed when filled, drive truck to work site, and move levers to dump material.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain\u00a0telephone or radio contact with dispatcher to receive instructions.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>After dumping, check\u00a0spreader\u00a0lip for dirt or stone and remove.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>After loading, check\u00a0spreader\u00a0lip and sides for dirt or stone and remove.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain\u00a0a daily inspection log.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Inspect tarp for repairs.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Must keep track of\u00a0expiration\u00a0date of DOT physical card.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If truck breaks down:\u00a0\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Know\u00a0exact\u00a0location of where you are. Street and\/or road name, Job name. Call in to dispatcher to\u00a0let them know about truck being down.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Know\u00a0roughly what\u00a0broke (e.g.\u00a0airline, engine failure, or flat tire).\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If\u00a0the job\u00a0is done early,\u00a0must\u00a0call\u00a0the dispatcher\u00a0and see if you can go to another job.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Qualifications &amp; Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.
