Rubber Tire Loader

William A. Hazel, Inc., a total site development contractor for over 50 years, is looking for a Rubber Tire Loader for our Stone Crew. This position reports to and is under the direction of foreman or superintendent. William A. Hazel, Inc., operates all over the Northern Virginia Area. By applying to this position, you acknowledge and understand you may be required to commute to job sites.

Essential Functions

1. Be able to load trucks.

2. Be able to cut subgrade in parking lots.

3. Be able to lay stone in streets, parking lots, etc.

4. Have a good working relationship with crew.

5. Should have knowledge of reading plans and setting grades.

6. As directed by competent authority.

Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.  Less than high school education required. Up to one year to two year of operating a rubber tire loader. Must have the ability to be able to lay stone and grade corners in parking lots. Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.  Ability to print and speak simple sentences. Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in outside weather conditions and is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold, extreme heat, and vibration. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and in high precarious places and is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
