William A. Hazel, Inc.
Q&A – Transition
May 2008

Q: What exactly is happening?
A:

After almost 50 years of creating and growing his very successful company, Mr. Hazel has decided to retire, effective June 1st.

Q: Who will be in charge now?
A:

Jay Keyser will be Chief Executive Officer (CEO) now. Jay has worked with Mr. Hazel for almost 20 years and proven himself as a good person to lead the company into the future.

Q: What about David Hazel?
A:

David Hazel will be Chief Operating Officer (COO) and will oversee all of the company’s field operations.

Q: Mr. Hazel was a visionary when he created the company. Who will be the visionary for the future?
A:

Mr. Hazel integrated the ‘total site development’ concept at just the right time and was able to successfully grow the company. The management team, headed by Jay Keyser, will continue to lead the company into the future and make the decisions to continue to make the company a place that we can all be proud of.

Q: What other changes will be happening?
A:

No other major changes are planned at this time. However, the management team will continue to try to make the company even better.

Q: How will this affect my daily responsibilities?
A:

This should have no impact on your daily responsibilities. It should not affect your supervisor, either.

Q: Will this cause any changes to my salary or benefits?
A:

No – this change will not affect your salary or benefits. However, as we have mentioned previously, the recent economic downturn has greatly impacted the company. Management will continue to evaluate the situation and make improvements to the company whenever possible.

Q: If I have other questions, who can I ask?
A:

We will distribute an organizational chart showing the top management personnel to assist you in understanding how the company will continue to operate. Specific questions can be addressed to your direct supervisor, to any of the top management personnel, or to the Human Resources department.

Q: Is there anything else I need to know about this transition?
A: Yes – the entire management group, and especially Jay Keyser, continue to look forward to leading this company and to continue to make it a company you can be proud to work for. This company has been successful in the past because of its employees and we are confident this will be the same in the future!
