John joined William A. Hazel, Inc. in 1986 as Shop Manager and in 2000 became Vice President of Equipment Resources. John has been involved with the construction equipment his entire career.  He joined Virginia Tractor Company Caterpillar Dealer in Richmond Virginia in 1967 as Product Sales Manager. Later he moved to Northern Virginia and became Vice President of the branch opened in Haymarket in 1974.

John is a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School in Richmond. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg.
